Wellington Land Board.
The monthly meeting of the above was hold yesterday. Present — The Commissioner (in the chair), and Messrs T. W. Fisher, A. W. Fitxherbert, A. W. Hogg, M.R.R., and Fred. Pirani, M.H.R. The following transfers were agreed to: — J. Gardner to. F. A. Miller, section 20, Block- VIII, Apiti ; W. J. and J. Bason to W. J. Bason, section 7, Block 11, Oinahine ; A. Lindsay to C. £. Lindsay, section 7, Block 11, Pohangina. Titles approved :— G. Green, section 1390, Bunny thorpe; P. Regan, section 1067, do. ; F. Bismarck, section 10, Block XII, Ongo ; E. Jolly, sections 6 and 8, Block XII, do ; G. A. Stxtus, section 18, Block X, Apiti ; W. J. Beard, section 79, Block VI, do; C. Cowan, section 140, Block XIV. do ; P. A. Margesson, section 7, Block XII, Ongo. Titles to be approved if conditions complied with : — E: C. Green, sections 1411 and 1499, Bunny thorpe; J. McDonald, sections 1253 and 1477, do ; C. H. Clare, section 43, Block XI, Ongo. Applications to capitalize granted : — A. Watt, sections 18 and 19, Block 111, Apiti; G. Perry, section 41, Block 111, do; P. McConnell, section 24, Block XI, do ; F. E. Allen, sections 26 and 27, Block XI, do : T. Munt, section 18, Block XIV, do; C. Nie'son, 43, Block X, Pohangina ; F. H. Sylvester, section 40, Block XI, Apiti. On Mr Pirani'a motion, it was decided to pass the title for J.R. Russell's section No. 12, Block XIV., Pohangina, subject to a statutory declaration that the additional improvements had been carried but. Mr H. D. McKenzie was allowed to withdraw his application for Block XII., Puketoi. It was decided to' take no action to compel the completion of improvements on sections 13 and 21, Block V, Puketoi, for twelve months, providing the fencing line is felled. Mr T. Lowes, of Birmingham, waited on the Board in reference to leasing section 15, Birmingham, and it was decided to recommend that all the reserves in this township be vested, in trustees if the residents make: application. The Commissioner reported that after consultation with the SurveyorGeneral and Under-Secretary for Crown Lands, it had been decided that the Board should deal with special settlers in future, the Commissioner only to deal with routine matters connected with these settlements. It was decided to hold an enquiry into an alleged case of dummyism of sections 12 and 13, Block XTTT, Makuri, in Wellington on Monday, 27th August. It was decided, on Mr Pirani's motion, to grant Mr Alderson's application for title to sections 1358 and 1368, Bunnythorpe.— Standard.
