The Shearing Difficulty.

ACTS OF VIOLENCE. (PEA PHESB ASSOCIATION). Bbisbamk, July 4. A woolshed on the Ayrshire Downs Station, near Winton, has been burnt. The shearers who refused to sign the agreement set fire to the shed. The manager of the station attempted to expostulate, and called on the local men to extinguish the fire. About 20 men responded to the call, and were about to take part in extinguishing the flames, but the Unionists covered them with firearms and ordered them away at the peril of their lives.
