New Court Regulations.

(Per Press Association). Wellington, This Day. In the Magistrate's Court, Mr Tripp, a barrister, complained of the cumbersome nature of the new regulations which came into force on Monday, especially rule 53 preventing a solicitor who has gained a case obtaining costs from the court officials without a written order from the client. Mr Tripp added the rules were stiffer than those of the Supreme Court. Mr Martin, S.M., said he had no doubt some of the rules were ultra vires and others unworkable. He would consider rule 53 and mention it again on Monday.
