SPECIAL MEETING.
Proposed by Cr Reid, seconded by Cr Homer, That a general rate of } in the £ on the whole of the rateable property as appearing in the valuation roll in force for the year ending 81st March 1895 ; also, that a separate rate of f- in the £ over the whole of the rateable property within the Apiti, Hautapu, Kitnbolton and Makino ridings and one half penny in the £ in the Oroua, Ongo and Waituna ridings. Both the above rates to become pa}'able in one sum on the 10th July 1894 be now made or struck.— Carried. Proposed by Cr Reid seconded by Cr Homer, That this Council do now confirm the following special order : That this Council adopt The Governmeot Loans to Local Bodies Act, and Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886," and amendments thereof. -Carried.
