Hewitt was again successful in converting. Macfarlane intercepted a pass from Isherwood and made a splendid ran to Hitchiugs, the Kea Haba full back who brought him down. However, the ball was called back in error by the referee. The first spell ended without further score. From a dribbling rush Darrock scored a try for Kea Kaha and Hewitt converted Podovin took the ball from touch line play and evading Munro scored a try behind the posts. Hewitt took the kick and added the fifth goal to his credit Shortly after the second spell commenced Frank Barlow, captain of the Mountaineers, received a kick in the back and had to retire from the game By this loss the team was greatly weakened as Barlow is a very smart half back.
