During discussion the representatives of the 1 Company introduced some new pro--1 posals with the object of settling the claims of the Company, which have been in dispute for some time. Mr S. Percy Smith, Surveyor General, was present, and the subject was fully discussed. The Minister promised the deputation that if they would submit proposals m writing he on his part would bring them before his colleagues ■ at the earliest possible date.
