It is satisfactory to learn that the liongburn freezing works are at present fully emplojed ; in fact, the chief difficul y appears to be in getting sufficient ship pieg space in the homeward bound yceelfl, This week no less than 2000 sheep have been despatched to Wellington, but it will be some time before space can be procured for a similar num. ber. Tins drawback in regard to obtaining shipping space is cot only expeiienced locally but in the South Islnud similar complaints ace made. Besides performing freezing operations the works are engaged boiling down old sheep, &c, no less than 900 sheep per day being put through. - Standard.
