WANGANUI AUTUMN MEETING.
The following are the results of the eveuts not published yesterday : — Wanganui Cup, of 500 soys ; li miles. — Liberator, 1 ; An Revoir, 2 ; Kosefeldt, 3. Also ran — Rangipuhi, Dreamland, Royal Rose, Noyadc, Musket, Queen of Trumps, Jacobite. Rangipuhi was favourite. From an excellent start Au Revoir led past the stand, Dreamland second, Rangipuhi going strongly on the outside next, and Liberator and Rosefeldt together close up. Rounding the beud for home Rangipuhi had had quite enough. Rosefeldt here made an effort to catch Au Revoir, but failed to get on terms. Half way up the straight Liberator shot out and won comfortably by two lengths from Au Revoir. Time, I Sznin l\ 2-ssec. Dividend, £4 6a. j Two-year-old Stakes, 6 furlongs— | Blarney, 1 ; Lyre Bird, 2 ; Huatai, 3. ! Also ran — The Friar, Ivy, and Tartan. Won by a neck. Time, liDin 17sec. Dividend, Ml 10s. ; Welter .Handicap, one mile — King John, 1 ; Pill, 2 ; Stranger, 3. Won by a nose. Time, lmin 47sec. Dividend, £& 7s, Hack Race, one mile and a distanceDandy, 1 ; Strayshot, 2 ; Swift, 8. Also ran — Eothen, Bonovoree, Hinau, Fortune, Finesse, Lozenge, and Tomboy. Time, 2uiiu, 2niin 2sec. Dividend, £2 19s. A protest was entered against the winner on the ground that he is not the horse he is represented to be. The stakes will be withheld, and all mouey on the totalisator is impounded until the protest is settled. Flying Handicap, six furlongs — St. Laura, 1 ; Poinsettia, 2 ; Prioress, 3. Monte Carlo also started. Time, lmin 17sec. Dividend, £2 18s. The sum of £'6275 was put through the totalisator. Wanganui, This Day. The weather is again excellent for the second day's races, and the attendance ! is good, trnt the acceptances for the I different events are poor, excepting in the Hack Flat. Results : - Harrison Memorial Stakes — St Laura, 1 ; Poinsettia, 2 ; Swordbelt, 3. Time, lmin 16 4-ssec. Dividend, M 2 6s. Second Hurdles — Couranto, 1 ; Oaklands, 2. Strephon, the only other starter, unseated Higgins when holding a commanding lead at the back of the course the first time round. Time, 3 mill 59sec. Dividend, £2 ss.
