(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christciiukcii, March 8 The protest lodged against the Wellington District as the winners of the District Representative match was considered by Council this afternoon, and without going into the merits of the j case, the protest -was disallowed, as it had not been lodged within the prescribed time, 12 hours. The presentation of the prizes won at the Rifle Association Meeting took place this afternoon. The proceedings were brought to a close with three cheers for Mrs Someryille, and a similar compliment to Major Sonierville.
