MANAWATU RACING CLUB. SECOND DAY. The above dub was agaiu favoured with beautiful weather for the second day of their Autumn Meeting at Palmerston yesterday, but during the latter part of the day it was rather too hot to be comfortable. Although the attendance was not quite so large as on the ( first day, the sum of £3846 was put through the totalisator (being j?H4 more than on the first day) making a total for the two days of £7548, as against A' 5092 for the same meeting last year. The following is a continuation, from yesterday's issue, of the results : — Newmarket Handicap, 6 furlongs — Zauella, Bst, 1 ; Pom Pom, 7st 101 b, 2 ; Eve, Bst, 3. Rebellion, Prioress, Pinrose, Magazine, Goosander, King's Bowman, and Lady Isabel also ran. The latter jumped away with the lead, but entering the straight Zanclla went to the front, winning comfortably by a length and a half. Time, Iniin 20sec. Dividend, £2 ss. Second Hack Flat Handicap — Swift, 6st 111 b, 1 ; Freewill, 7st 21b, 2; Senator, 9st 21b, 8. Also started — Kauri Gum, Arcljeress, Gorse, and O.arsmaid. Swift gofc slightly the heat of the sfcarfc, and led past the stand and into the straight. Stalling off a challenge by Freewill, the Natator mare won comfortably by a length. Time, 2min 2sec. Dividend, £5 2s. Welter Handicap, mile and a furlong — Scot Free, lOst, 1 ; Variety, 9st 31b, 2 ; Pill, Bst 91b, 3. Revolt, Poiusettia, and King John also ran.
