Concert at Bunnythorpe.
The Bunnythorpe Town Hall was well filled last evening with an appreciative audience to hear the concert and cantata given by the Feilding WWeyan choir. The first part consisted of a miscellaneous concert, and was opened by the overture, "Defence, not Defiance," by Mr Haybittle's String Band. This was followed by a song by Mr Simpson, " Home Rule." Miss Gould then sang »« Gates of the West" in a pleasing manner. Mr Young followed with " Old and New," which was rendered in capital form. The trio, "A Little Farm Well Tilled," was sung by Messrs Simpson, Haybittle, and Carty, in good style, and had to be repeated for an encore, the rendering completely bringing down the house. After a short interval the cantata was given by the choir and orchestra in a very creditable manner, after which the National Anthem was sung, bringing a very enjoyable entertainment to a close.
