February 26 Betting has been brisk to-day. After 1200 to 90 had been taken about Fortunatus 1000 to 80 was offered. Hovu was supported to win 2000 at 100 to 6; 6500 to 65 was taken about Lord Hopctoun and 100 to 6 about Capstan ; 600 to 24 was accepted about Tullamore, and then 500 to 20 was taken, the betting closing with 1000 to 50 offered and 1000 to 45 wanted. The Arab was backed to win 1200 at 100 to 4. A wager of 400 to 20 was taken about Parramatta, and 500 to 15 about Gaillardia.
