Campbelltown Notes.
«. The members of the Excelsior Lodge, 1.0. G.T., held their usual fortnightly meeting in the Temperance Hall on Thursday evening last. It being the end of the quarter and the routine business being over, the election of officers was proceeded with. The installation will take place at next meeting. The following officers were elected: — Bro Kniglit, C.T. ; Sister M. Hunt, V.T. ; Bro J. Merrett, P.C.T. ; Bro Tucker, Secy ; Sister Norman, A.S.; Bro Duthie, Chaplain ; Sister Broad belt, F.S. ; Bro L. Tucker, DM. ; Bro Stern, G. ; Bro Welsh, S.M. About twenty members decided to attend the demonstration on the 7th inst., at Foxton. As a special train has been arranged for, a very successful district meeting is expected to be held. As Mr Hanaby has had the misfortune to lose three wooden bridges in succession by being washed away when the creek through his property was flooded, he has now erected a substantial brick bridge which he thinks will defy future attacks. Messrs Wittington and Osborne were tho builders, and they have made a very substantial job of it.
