Feilding Fire Brigade.
A practice of the above was held last evening, when Captain Eade, Foreman Ranger, and Firemen Thomson, Belh't, Newman, Bishop, Parker, Tank, Lucre, Garlick, and the secretary (Mr H. Worsfold) were present, and took the engine on the Square. After a short practice was held they returned to the engine shed, where a meeting was held. The Captain read a letter from the Secretary of the United Fire Brigades Association, stating the fifteenth annual meeting would be held in Napier on the sth and 6th March, and the demonstration would take place on Wednesday and Thursday, the 7th and Hth. The Cxptain explained the desirability of sending a team to the demonstration, and invited members who could get away to give him their names and go into practice at once. A team of five could compete in the one-man, three-men, and teams' contests. It was decided to hold regular practice every Friday eveuing, commencing at 7.30 sharp, when as many of the members as possible are requested to attend. Those who propose going to Napier will practice in the mornings and at any other convenient time. Messrs Thomson and Parker were appointed branchmen. Messrs B. Parkes, \V. Hicks, and G. H. Boyd were elected members of the Brigade and the meeting adjourned.
