Produce Market.
The United farmers' Alliance (Ltd.) report as under : — Business in grass and clover seeds during the past fortnight has been brisk, and a fair trade has also been done in oats and chaff. New grass seeds are now coming to hand, but owing to heavy rains in the South Island, lator samples will probably be inferior. Wheat — The only lines selling just now are fowl wheat, at from 3s to Us 4d for whole, and 2s lOd to 8s 2d fro broken. Oats — The market is steady at 2s 6d to 2s 7d for good feed. Barley—Cape Barley, 2s 9d to 3s 3d. Rye grans— Poverty Bay, 6s to 6s 6d ; best Canterbury machined, 4s 6d to 5s 3d ; local, .'3s to 3s 6d. Cocksfoot — 2^ to 3d for good samples. Local|Crested Dogstail and Meadow Foxtail are now being offered at remunerative pricers for the growers. Potatoes— Flukes and kidneys, £4 to ±4 10s. Butter — The recent reports from London are not at all good and must very seriously effect the values here. Buyers cannot afford to give the prices that have been ruling, and next week will probably see much lower prices. Dairy, 6kl ; separatar, 7d.
