Land Allotment.
At Hunterville on Wednesday sections in tbe Maiigamabu village settlement were ballotted for, only four out of 12 being applied for. There were two applicants for N T o 7, which fell to J. Smithhurst. Messrs J. Pluisted, G. Lovering, and E. Kent; were the only applicants for Nos 8, 9 and 10 respectively, and were awarded them. For the 12 sectious in the Makoliiuc Villege Settlement Block, there v ere 18 applicants, but none of them desired to possess Nos. 3, and 6. Messrs J. H. Baiuhill, A. C. Yette, W. Norton. T. War. kett, P. Healey, C. Moore, A. Grinter, M. D'Arcy, A. Geraty, and K. Grant were the successful applicants for the other sections in above order. For five sections in Ngamatea Village Settlement Block there wore 11 applicants, Messrs E. Tetter, W. Shaw, J. Freeman and F. Tracey being the successful ones for sections, 1, 28, and 73, No. 72 was referred to the Board for final decision, there being four applicants for it.
