Primitive Methodist Conference.

(PEH PHESS ASSOCIATION.) New Plymouth, January 12. At the Primitive Methodist Conference a discussion on the union of the minor Methodist churches occupied a considerable portion of the day. Several delegates said their stations would not join any uuited church. The Conference received deputations from the Presbyterian, Baptist, and Wesleyau Churches. The Rev. Mr Guy (Westport) alluded to the desirableness of the United Methodist Church deciding to send a telegram to the Methodist Free Church and Bible Christian Church conveying the finding of the Conference on the question of the union, A big temperance meeting is being held, addressed by the delegates. An open air meeting takes piaces to-morrow night, and a camp meeting on Sunday. The delegates " do " Mount Egmont at the close of the Conference session.
