Systematic Embezzlement.
A SHIPPING FIRM ROBBED OF .±•18,0000. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. 1 ) Sydney, January 11. A confidcntal employee of 30 years' standing in the well known whipping firm of Lorimer and Rome is found to have committed a series of embezzlements extending over a period of 27 years, and amounting to .£IB,OOO. The loss falls entirely on the Sydney house, which is almost crippled by it. The firm are not taking any steps at present to prosecute.
