[PER PBESS ASSOCIATION. 1 Dukkdin, January 4. In the Chess Congress Barnes has now played the whole of his games, his scores being 7 wins 8 losses. With one game each to play, the scores of the others are —Edwards, 6tV wins, 2\ losses ; Clelaud, and Browu, 6 wius, 3 losses ; Le Lievre, 4£ wins, 4^ losses ; Burbon, 4 wins and 5 | losses ; Pleasants, 2.| wins, 61 ' losses ; I Mouat, 1 win, 7 losses ; Smith, 1 win, 8 j losses ; Hookham and Mellor have not j concluded their game. With two to finish the scores are — Hookham, S:V wins, 2£ losses ; Mellor, 4 wins, 4 losses.
