Stock Markets.

Hawkka, January 4, Egiuout Farmers' Union (Limited) report — We have but very small sales to report this past week, for what with the holidays and wet weather a general dulness prevailed. At Okaiwa ou Thursday, the 28th ult., a moderate number of cattle were yarded, but there were very few buyers present, so that scarcely anything sold. We held our opening sale of the new year at Mauaia ou Wednesday, the 3rd inst., but owing to the wet weather the entry of cattle was small. Bidding was flat, and only a few lines changed hands. We quote : Cattle — Two-year steers, .£6 6s ; cows and calves, £3 8s; mixed yearlings, .£1 18s.
