Coal Miners' Strike.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION). Sydmey, This Day. The owners of the Stochton mine are willing to pay the old hewing rates, but insist on a reduction in the yardage. The men refuse to agree to the proposal. Nearly six hundred men are idle through the strike in three southern col lieries. It is not expected the other miners will follow suit.
