A Facetious Governor.
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Sydney, This Day. The Governor when speaking at the Commercial Travellers' Association dinner, made passing reference to hia absence ;from the gathering of the Highland Society, to which exception had been taken. He had labored under the delusion that he was entitled to the privilege of spending his Xmas holidays with his family, a delusion which he had acquired in the Old Country.
