Sanson defeated Carnarvon on Saturday by six wickets. The Cup match between the Palmerston and Union Cricket Clubs resulted in an easy win for the former by 10 wickets. The Unions made 47 runs in the first innings (Stinson 24) and 90 in their second — Stinson 20. Palliter 19, T. Eyre. Palmerston put together 185 runs iv their first innings— R. Eyre 27, Ishenvood 47, Cooko 28. Cooke took nine wickets for 23 runs iv tho first innings of the Unions. (PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION ). Auckland, Deocmber2. The interprovinciftl cricket match Auckland v Wellington was commenced to- day. Auckland went in first and made 137. Wellington had lost three wickets for 46 when rain stopped tho play.
