Wo have to report three large sales held during the past week, the first of which was at Stratford, on Friday, the 24th instant We quote .— Weaners, LI 17» to L 2 28 ; 12 to 18-months cattle, L27s6d to L 3 18m 6<\ ; cows and heifers in calf, L 3 10s to L67s 6d ; 18-months heifers, L 2 17s 6d to L 3 Is 6d. ! On Saturday, tho 20th instant, our monthly horse bazaar was held. We quote :— Draughts, Ll6 to LlB ; good hacks up to Lls ; harness horses up to LU. Our next largo sale was held in the Glover Road Yards, Hawera, on Thursday, tho 29th instant, every available yard being occupied with stock. There was keen competition for all young stock, fat and forward cattle also came in for a fair share of attention, so that at the close of the sale the bulk of the cattle had clinnged hands. Sheep still remain dull of sale and are likely to do so ns long us the English market is so depressed. Wo quote :— Fut bullocks, Ld 15s j forward bullocks, Ls6sto L 5 12s ; 2 year steers, L 3 los Gd to L 4 3s 6d ; 12 to 18-months, mixed sexes, L 2 9s to L 3 8s ; fat cows and heifers. L 4 10s to L 5 10s ; cows and calres, L 4 7s to L 4 13s Cd ; 2to 2&-yof\r empty heifers, L 3 7s to L 3 138 6d ; yearling heifers, L 2 8s 6d to L 2 11s, Sheep— Woolly hoggets, lUs lid ; dry woolly ewes, 5s 9d.
