Hack Race— Sedition beat eight others. Dividend, £4 17s. Consolation— Senator 1, Prince Cole 2, Violence 3. Dividend, £4 Bs. Adam McMorran, the well known cross country rider, who had the mount on Unity in the Hurdle Race, was reported to the Stewards for having struck A. Magne, rider of Jacob, across the head during the race and inflicting a serious wound. After a lengthy inquiry the Stewards decided to disqualify McMorran tor life, and cancelled the trainer and jockey's license held by him, and he was warned off all the courses in the colony.
