The Hon Mr Seddon was nominated for the Westland seat yesterday. He had a cordial reception at Greymouth and at Kumara, where the Mayor and councillors presented an addressed. In his speech at a publio meeting to-night he indioated the necessity of making the Legislative Coun* cil elective.
