Correspondence wbs received as under : ' From James Waugh, J Fanthorpe, H B 1 Hodge, and H Boggis, asking to have < their thirds spent on Terrace road, con- , tinuing from Mr Campbell's contraot. From Robert Fraser, West Waitapu, ' declining the Board's ofler for land wanted ! for road purposes, and holding the Board ■ responsible for damage done to his fence from debris off the road line. i From Ross Bros., applying for lease of ] gravel reserve on Education Reserve, Block 7, Ongo, From R Malcolm, withdraving application for lease of gravel reserve ad- ' joining C Gray's property, Sandon Small Farm Block. From Geoffrey Potts, asking permission to fell road line opposite section 65, Sandon Small Farm Block. From F Lippett, Block XIV, Hautapu Survey Distriot, asking permission to fell road line. From T Moriarty, asking to have his name placed on rate roll, for section 14, Block IV, Pemberton Small Farm Association, in place ofj Nixon. From Peter Brown, applying for per. mission to fell road line. From CFKEngland, asking to bave the name of F H England substituted for his own on rate roll, section 7, Block VIII, Ongo. From T Rowlsb, stating he would sell gravel reserve for £10 on terms.— Offer declined. From H H Richardson, Clerk Rangitikei County Council, stating his Council would be only too glad to confer with this board's Engineer when any new works are to be undertaken at Onepubi bridge. From W Rutberfnrd, Secretary Palmerston North Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, re election of representatives of grouped districts of Oroua County on 22nd instant. From H T H Blow, Utider-aecretary for Publio Works, stating that no subsidy had vet been granted for the bridge at Vinegar Hill, but that the department was in communication with the Rangitikei County Council on the subject. From District Land and Survey Office, Wellington, forwarding certificates for appropriating thirds accruing from certain sections as ordinary revenue. (Left sitting.)
