Bankruptcy Meeting

The adjourned meeting of creditors in the estate of H. 8. Muoro, a bankrupt, was held in the Feilding Court House yesterday afternoon. The D.O. A ., Mr G. J. Scott, was in the chair. The debtor was present, with his solicitor, Mr L. £. Keade. 'I he creditors represented were Messrs Hanna and Co, Hojgac and Co, Alexander, Sclanders and Co (each of whom were represented by Mr Hitchcock), Chamberlain, and Kirton and Curtis. This meeting was held to confirm a resolution passed at a prenous meeting, re the debtor's offer to pay 15s in the £. Besolved that the resolution passed on the 13th of October, offering Ids in the £, with interest at seven per cent be now confirmed. The D.O.A. informed Mr Munro that all the law costs would hare to be paid by him in addition to the Ids m the £ on approyed claims, The bankrupt objected to the law charges being added, but it was eventually arranged with Mr Scott ' to allow him till to-day to decide what steps he would take. Mr H. Holland's name was offered by thp debtor to endorse the bills. .
