Lawn Tennis

The second annual general meeting of (he Feilding Lawn Tennis Club was held at the Manager's room, Bank of Austrat la si a, yesterday afternoon, at 4.30. Present — Mesdames Maoarthur, Barton, and Coote, Misses Fry (2), and Messrs Dyer, Matheson, Bishop, Brabant, Barton, Coote, Richmond, and Her Innes Jones (in the chair). The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The balance sheet for the year ending September 30, 1893, was laid before the meeiing by the Treasurer, and it was Proposed by Mr Matheson, and seconded by Mr Barton, That the balance sheet as read be adopted. —Carried. Mr Barton was elected President of the Club for the ensuing year, and Bey Innes Jones Vice»President. Proposed by Mr Sicbmond, seconded by Mr Matheson, That Mr Bishop be appointed Hon Secretary, and Mr Dyer Hon Treasurer for the year. — Carried. The following were elected acommi* tee :— Messrs Coote, Matheson, Lance, Allen, Bichmond, and officers ex offieio. The colors chosen as dub colors' are navy blue and cream. ' At the meeting yesterday afternoon nine new members were proposed and seconded and will be balloted for in due course.
