So far Mr S Cornell is the only candidate announced for Napier, but it is understood Mr Swan will offer himself for re-election. Captain Russell will be opposed in Hawke's Bay by Mr T. Tanner, formerly M.H.R. for Waipawa, who is now in England, but left signed nomination papers and addresses.
