(HSR PRESS ASSOCIATION). CifßisTcnuKi'ii, October 21. Mr Kullestou addressed a second tuebting of tho electors at Ellesiuoie at Southbridge last night. There was a large attendance, and be received a vote of thanks and confidence Invkrcakgill, October 22. The Wallace Political Union have adopted a programme, including property tax instead of land and income tax, nonmanagement of railways, and witbdrawal of power of acquiring land arbitrarily. Mr Henry Hirst, formerly an Atkinsonian, has been elected by the Union as its caudidate. Napier, October 22. So far Mr S Cornell is the only candidate announced for Napier, but it is understood Mr Swan will offer himself for re-election. Captain Russell will be opposed in Hawke's Bay by Mr T. Tanner, formerly M.H.R. for Waipawa, who is now in England, but left signed nomination papers and addresses.
