(PER PEESS ASSOCIATION). London, October 16. Meldourne butter is selling at 109s to 116s Its condition i§ excellent, the season being very mild. A butter and cheese exchange is being formed in Tooly Street. Australian and New Zealand wheat is steady, other sorts have declined sixpence, New Zealand wheat, off coast, is quoted at 28s. Melbourne, October 16. The dispute between the wool buyers and the brokers has been compromised, the latter having agreed to accept cheques if time is allowed to satisfy themselves of the validity of the cheques.
The New Zealand Land Association have received the following cablegram from LondoD, dated October 11:—Tallow6 :— Tallow — The market bus a downward tendency, and tallow is dull of sale. New Zealand tine anitton and good beef tallows are respectively worth 29s 6d and 28s 3d per cwt. Frozen meat — The market remains unchanged.
