Produce Markets
Tbe United Farmers Alliance report as under :— During the past week, owing to the fine weather, there has been a marked improvement in tbe produce trade. Oats have been going off freely, potatoes have been inquired for, and other lines of pro* duce havo been moving off. At last week s quotations we quoteWheat— Whole fowls' wheat, 3s to 3s 3d ; broken, 2s lOd to 3s. Oats— Sparrow bills for seed, 2s lOd ; short feed, 2s 9b ; Danish, 2s Bd. Potatoes — There has been a brisk demand for these, and we have sold at £5 to £5 os per ton. Chaff— Prime oaten sheaf, £4 lOt to £_ 14s ; second quality, £4 to L_ 10s Linseed— 2os to 22s 6d per cwt. Ryecora— 4s to 4s 6d per bushel. Grass and Clover Seeds— These are moving off freely at autumn rates.
