The Prohibitionists have now decided to bring forward three candidates for the City feits. Edward Withy is out for the City on tbe Independent ticket. Dunedin, September 29. The Caversham Lii eral League have selected tbe following candidates for the general election : — City — Messrs Karnshaw, Pinkerton, and Hutchison; Port Chalmers— J. A. Miller ; Caversham— Mr A. Morrison. Wellington, September 29. Mr C. F. Worth announces himself as a candidate for the City iti the Liberal interest; Mr Walter Johnston is mentioned as a probable candidate for Wellington. The statement that Mr Bruce intends to contest the Masterton seat is incorrect. He has definitely decided not to stand for any seat.
