At the thanksgiving service of the Women's Christian Temperance Union resolutions were passed thanking Parha* mont for granting the franchise and expressing the determination to exercise it for every righteous cause. Dunedin, September 29. Nine hundred chums have been received from women to be placed on the Port Chalmers roll.
