The annual meeting of the Marton Jockey Club was held on Thursday evening. The balance-sheet showed an overdraft of L 36 8s lld, after carrying on the year's racing. The report alluded to the fact that the nominations and acceptances had failed to realise by L 5 15s the previous year's amount, although Ll7O more had been given ' away in stakes. Mr J. E. Henry was appointed handicapper, and Mr S. ' Powell starter. It was decided to hold \ only one day's meeting in February. ,
