Determined Suicide

(PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Chbistchukch, September 23. The body of a man, 60 years of age, was found in the North Waimakirin river belovr high-water mark yesterday. His hands and feet were tied with cord, and it is supposed deceased jumped off the railway bridge about 500 yards higher up the river. On a handkerchief was the name "F. M. Betts." It is staled that a solicitor of that name inquired for from Wanganui was recently seen in Christchurch.
