September 11, The Women's Franchise League has written to the Governor praying him to consider the large petition from the women of New Zealand in favor of the franchise, rather (ban the small document signed by some members of the Legislative Council protesting against the vote of the House for the third reading of the Bill. Wellington. September 11. A protest signed by the 18 Legislative Councillors who voted against the final stage of the Electoral Bill has been entered on the Journals of the Council, and will be forwarded to His Excellency the (Governor. Petitions are in course of signature in Wellington for presentation to the Governor asking him to reserve his assent to the Electoral Bill.
