The following team was selected on Saturday to represent the Manawatu iuniors in their matches with Wanganui and Taranuki : — Full-back, Seddon ; three-quarters, Rickards, Hewitt, and Richards ; halves ; Cameron and lsherwood; forwards, De Bogo, Wishtrt, Bethwaite, Pernn, Heighton, Prender* gust, Aitken, Eakena, W. Smith. The team will leave by the mail train on Tuewdaj, playing at New Plymouth on Wednesday and Wanganui on Saturday. The tenm, although far from being a representative one, is a strong one, and should give a good account of theinsclyes. Eleven are from Palmerston, two from Bulls, and two from Feilding, Awahuri and HunterviUe not being represented. (PKB PBESS ASSOCIATION). CiiuisTcnußcir, September 9. The Interprovincial football match. Olngo v Canterbury, played to-day, was won by the latter by one goal to a try. Nelson, September 9. Wellington won the interprovincial match with Nelson by 11 points to five.
