The Wakatipu arrived at 10 a.m. There was a cloud ot mist, which prevented her arrival being gonerally known, still there were some hundreds on tho wharf, and Thomas' Hall, to which an adjournment was made after Mr Rhodes, M.H.R., formally welcomed tho football team, was crowded. Mr Campbell, the manager, replied sketching briefly the events of the tour, and giving every ere.lit to New South Wales for their one win. They would not havn beaten New Zealand by so much but for tho crippled men, but so well did they play that day that they would have won anyhow.
