Messrs Gorton and Son report : — Our yards at Marten last Tuesday were well filled with good entries of sbeep, though only a few pens of cattle came forward. The attendance was good, bidding was spirited, and pood stock sold well — but purchasers would not touoh stock in low condition. Sheep. — 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 12s lOd ; 6 and 8 -tooth ewes, in lamb, 12s 6d ; breeding ewes, in latnb, 8s to 8s 9d ; good lambs, 79 9d to 8s 8d ; medium, 4s 6d ; forward ewes, 8s sd. Messrs Abraham and Williams re* port :— At Colyton last Tuesday the bulk of the entries advertised came forward, tho recent incloraent weather prerenting yendors getting tho remainder ready. On the whole, the class of sheep, wi f ,h the exception of tho wtmthers, was from second-rate to inferior. Tho market dragged somewhat, but wo effected sales on till but oqe pen of larabs, either at or after the auction. Cattle were in modernte numbers, or which the greater portion changed hands. Springers brought LS 10s ; weaners, 35s to 435 ; store cows, in calf, 355, Sheep — Storo wethers, lls 6d to lla 9d ; fat wethers and ewes, lls sd ; shorn lambs, (is 6d, 6s 9d, 7s Id, 8s lid, and 10s Id for an extra good lot ; woolly lambs, 73 to 7a Qd ; breeding ewes, Jls 3d ; culls, 2s to 3,s hi j others, 5s to ps.
