The New Ministry
I In response to His Excellency's mes- [ sage, the Hon. R. J. Seddon waited upon Lord Glasgow yesterday afternoon and submitted the following list of names and portfolios : — The Hon. R. J. Seddon to be Premier, Minister of Public Works, Minister of Mines and Minister of Defence. The Hon. Sir P. A. Buckley, K.C.M.G., to be Attorney-General, Colonial Secretary and Minister of Marine. The Hon. W. P. Reeves to be Minister of Education, Commissioner of Stamp Duties and Minister of Labour. The Hon. J. McKenzie to be Minister of Lands and Immigration, Minister of Agriculture and Commissioner of Forests. The Hon. J. G. Ward to be Colonial Treasurer, PostmasterGeneral, Electric Telegraph Commissioner and Commissioner of Customs. The Hon. A. J. Cadman to be Minister of Justice. The Hon. J. Carroll (without portfolio) representing the Natiye race.
