Waimanno Small Farm Association

A meeting of the above .was held at Short's Hall on Thursday evening last, there being n good attendance of members present. Mr F. J. Bishop, the convener ot the meeting, said the first business was the election of a chairman and secretary. Proposed by Mr Lonjj, seconded by Mr { Dallison, That Mr Woolven be elected chairman of the association. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Long, seconded by Mr Dallison, That Mr J. F. Bishop be elected secretary and treasurer of the association. — Carried. Proposed by Mr R. Robinson, seconded by Mr Wells, That the following constitute the committee : — Messrs Trevena, Long, Nisbet, B. Brown, R. Heald. Robinson, the chairman and secretary, with power to add to their number. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Murphy, seconded by Mr Robinson, That two of the members be appointed to inspect the land. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Long, seconded by Mr Robinson, That Messrs E. Murphy, and J. F. Bishop, be the members chosen to visit and inspect the land ; that they be allowed £5 for expenses, and that the association refund anything extra spent by them. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Long, seconded by Mr Dallison, That a call of 10s per member be made to defray the expenses of fanning the association, and that this shoj be paid before next meeting.— Carried. Proposed by Mr Robinson, seconded by Mr Havind, That the secretary write to the Minister of Lands, and ascertain the estimated vnlue of the property. — Carried. Votes of thanks to the chairman and Mr Bishop closed the proceedings.
