Tho Agent- General hus written to the Agricultural Department that the market for Now Zealand produce is at present in a bad way as tho result of mfenor butter rushed on tho market during tho past year. Ho urges an improvement as to grading and means of transit, as unless this is effected produce will not hold its own. Ho also urges shipping companies to udopt Negrotti and Zambrn's thermograph for automatically registering and recording the temperature of the cool chamber in which produce is convoyod.
