JonNsoMviiLK, March 29. \ Megsrs Freeman It. Jackson and Co I report ns follows: — An unusual number of cattle came to hand. From fair to medium realised 18s to 20s the lOOlbs. Bullocks made from L7ls to LB. Slieep were in full supply. A few fair wethers were yarded, the bulk being ewe» and inferior sheep. Wethers, 13s to 14*; light li.'ilf-studded sheep, 7s to 9s ; best circs, 11s to 12s ; others, 6s to 9s ; culls, I 3s 6i to 4s ; lambs 6s to 8s ; shorn lambs, 5» to 5s 6d. No pigs were penned. Bulls, March 27. Messrs Gorton and Son report :— Fnll entries came forward at our Awahuri sale on Tuesday of both cattle and sheep, and our yards at Feilding could not contain the very large entries which catne forward at that sale on Friday, and we had ' again to avail ourselves of the courtesy of the Alliance to use their yards as well. The sale at Awahuri was dull, and there \vns a decided drop in nil classes of stock. We 6old a gocd many but had to turn out many lines unsold. At Feilding, though the bidding was dull there, we managed to quit a large quantity. Our quotations are — Catxlk— At Awahuri. Fat cows, £5 2s 6d to £5 ss ; heifers in calf, £4 10s to £4 16s ; forward cows, i' 42s 6d ; store cows, £3 10s to £8 10s 6d ; 8-year steers, ±4 10s6d; 18 month steers, £'2 as ; yearling steers, 33s 6d. At Feilding— Fat cows, £5 10s; 0-year bullocks i' 48s 6d; 18-month to 2-year steers, £3 to Md 6s 6d ; 2.} year steers ; £3 13s 6d ; weaners, 22s Gd to 335; 18-month steers, £2 12s 6d. Sheep— At Awahuri. Lambs, 6s 6d to 7s 4d; fat sheep, 9s. At Feilding — Lambs, various prices from Is 6d to 6s 6d ; 2- tooth ev.es, 10s to 10s 6d ; breeding ewes, various prices from 5s to 8s ; wethers, from 8s 5d to 10s sd.
