The monthly meeting or the above was resumed on Tuesdnf Messrs Notman (inthe chair), Bridge, Sanson, and Fry were present. Feilding.— Mr Fry reported on the 1 state of the roof of this school, giving an estimate of L 62 for necessary repairs The report was adopted nnd the committee and Mr Fry were to be asked to obtain tenders nnd forward same to thr Board Inspectors — .-V circular having been received from the Education Department to the effect that it was desirable that there should be a system of exchange of inspectors and that conferences of in* spec tors should also be arranged, the secretary was instructed to answer that the Wunc.-inui Education Board had already affirmed the desirableness of a conference of inspectors and suggesting that the details should be arranged and the date fixed by the Central Department. Aided School —It was resolyed to grant capitation fur an aided school at Mr Hirst's place, 10 miles beyond Pohan« gina. The Building Grnnt.— On the motion of Mr Sanson, seconded by Mr Fry, Mr "No* mar, was asked to visit Wellington early in April nnd interview the Govern* tnent with a view to obtaining a special grant to enable the Board to undertake urgent building requirements. Auditors. — The names of auditors sent in by the committees were approved and in all cases where no name was sent in the secretary was instructed to act. Ohingaiti.— Mr P. Roach was trans* ferred from Feilding to this school. Feilding.— Miss Ada Walla appointed pupil teacher.
