Aorangi Bridge Demonstration.

A meeting of the Committee to arrange for the demonstration and public luncheon on Wednesday next, the 22nd inst., was held at the Manchester Hotel last Tuesday afternoon. It was decided to have 200 tickets printed for the luncheon, and Messrs P. Thomson, Sandilands, and Matheson were appointed a catering committee ; the seating and other arrangements being left in the hands of Messrs Bray and Bull. Complimentary tickets are to bo sent to the Chairmen and Secretaries of the various local bodies and Road Boards in the district. The Band is to be invited to attend. It was unanimously resolved to request Mr F. Y. Lethbridge, Chairman of the Manchester Road Board, to perform the opening ceremony- Another meeting of the Committee will be held this evening to make any further arrangements which may be requisite.
