Feilding Borough Council

A special meeting of the above was held on Tuesday evening last for the purpose of confirming the undermentioned resolutions, the tallowing members being present:— Mr E. Goodbehere (Mayor), Councillors Fowles, Morey, Carthew, Lethbridge, Haybittle, Sandilands, Gould, and Thompson. Proposed by Cr Lethbridge, seconded by Cr Sandilands, That the special order that the Feilding Borough Council do adopt the provisions of " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 18(36," bo hereby confirmed. — Carried. Proposed by Cr Sandilands, seconded by Cr Lethbridge, That the special order re levying a special rate of one penny in £ for the purpose of paying interest on a loan of Jfc'BOO to provide one-third of the cost of a bridge over the Oroua river at Aorangi be hereby confirmed.— Carried. The Mayor stated that the Colonists' Corporation had advertised the pound for sale, together with certain other properties, and suggested it would be advisable for the Couucil to purchase the same. Nothing definite was decided in the matter. As this concluded the business the Council then adjourned.
