The volunteer enenmpment (o be held at Johnsonyillc at Easter will be on an unusually lnrge scale, the volunteers from Tnranaki, Wnnganui, Marlon, Fei.'ding, Palmerston, Masterton, Napier, nnd of course Wellington, all being oxpooted lo attend Among tlie regulitions to bo observed in connection with the camp are the following: — The allowance to be mode to those who attend will be in accordance with regulation 139 : Free passes by railway, nnd an allovranco of 2/6 per day for not more lhan four days, provided at least four drills arc attended. Every corps which attends must have a strength of 20 privates and a full comple ment of commissioned and non-com-missioned officers ; volunteers will arrange for their own mess ; provide cooks ; and also arrange for the carriage of their baggage. Government will provide tents, cooking utensil?, and straw for bedding. No cadet corps to be allowed to attend Encampments will also be held at Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Nelson, and the Cavalry camp at Palmerston North. There was a very good muster of tho Manchester Kifles on Thursday night. At the conclusion of tho parade the names were taken of those who intended to be present at the Johnsonyillo Encampment at Easter. At present twenty four officers and men have undertaken to go.
