On account of the wet weather, the attondance yesterday at the Alliance stock sale was only poor. Prices were dull, especially for sheep, aud quotations wero lower than recent sales in this district. A full report will appear m our next issue The Farmers' Alliance report: — We had good entries of both cattle and sheep at our Palmorston sale on Thursday, and a large attendance of buyers. The bidding was slow except for dairy cattle and young sheep, for which thoro was keen competition and good price 3 realisod. Old ewes nnd small lambs wore dull of sale. Wo quote 'as follows: — Cattle. — Fat cows, £4 17s ; milch cows, i.4 10s to £7 3s; young hoifors, £4 7s 6d ; yearling heifers, £2 7s; 2i-yeur steers, £4 10s; weaners, 22s Gd to 265. Sheep.—Fullmouth owes, 4 s 9d to 9s 8d ; 2- tooth ewes, 11s lid to 12s lid; shorn lamb?, 4s 6d ; woolly lambs, 6s 9d ; full-mouth Romnoy rums, £1 7s to £2 7s.
