. (PEE PBESB ASSOCIATION.) London. February 6. The average price of wheat in the country markets is 26s 3d, and Australian wheat, off coast, is quoted at 32s 3d. At the wool sales there is keen com* petition for good wools, but heavy faulty sorts are slow of sale. Victorian wool is bringing Bjd to Is l^d. About 4 per cent of the Duke of Westminister's* Brisbane beef is damaged, but the mutton is in good condition. February 7 • At the wool sales to«day prices for medium sorts were weaker, and a considerable quantity was withdrawn. For Geelon£ wool there was strong competition, American buyers being particularly eager, nnd prices ranged from Is O.\d to Is ljd. Sydney, February 8. Chick wheat, 2s lOd ; milling, 3s 6d to 3s 7d ; flour, New Zealand, L 8 ; oats. Danish, 2s 4d to 2s od ; best feeding, scarce, 2s 8d j potatoes, local, Lo to Lo 10s; Circular Heads, nominally, L 6; butter, dairy made, Gd to 7d ; factory made, 8d to Od. Mklbouknr, February 8.
